Heat Advisory & Severe Storms Possible (June 17, 2022)

 

Here is the latest from The National Weather Service in Huntsville regarding today's multiple weather issues:

 

1. Our area is again under a heat advisory until 7pm. Please take all appropriate safety precautions and be mindful of children, the elderly, and pets.

 

2. There is a risk of strong to severe storms from midday through the early evening hours. The primary threats are damaging winds, microbursts, and hail. If you see a downed power line, do not approach or attempt to drive over it. Call us immediately at 256-53-LIGHT (256-535-4448). This is also the number to call to report a power outage.

 

We are closely monitoring the weather situation and have crews standing by to respond to any service issues. Customers are advised to monitor local media and the National Weather Service website (www.weather.gov/huntsville) for the latest on these weather situations.
