Huntsville Utilities (HU) is in Huntsville, Alabama and is owned by the City of Huntsville. As a Public Utility provider since 1940, HU is comprised of 3 separate systems which operate under 3 Boards appointed by the City Council.

Training Programs
Huntsville Utilities continually invests in the professional growth of our people and our teams. We offer opportunities as well as formal and informal apprenticeship programs.
Employee development at Huntsville Utilities is supported through tuition-reimbursement for relevant college education, professional conferences, and internal and external training.
Community Involvement
Huntsville Utilities is committed to being a good corporate citizen in the community we serve. We promote employee involvement in our community by allowing employees time away from work to volunteer to help at various non-profit organizations in the area that support our citizens.
In addition, we also support employees as they volunteer to participate on various non-profit boards throughout the community. As you join Huntsville Utilities, please discuss your volunteer aspirations with your supervisor or our Volunteer Council.
The Partnership for Your Success (PaYS) Program is a strategic partnership between the U.S. Army and a cross section of corporations, companies, and public sector agencies. The Program provides America's Soldiers with an opportunity to serve their country while they prepare for their future. PaYS Partners guarantee Soldiers an interview and possible employment after the Army. This unique Program is part of the Army's effort to partner with America's business community and reconnect America with its Army.
