Scam Alert - June 6, 2022

We have been alerted to a new scam targeting customers.

The customer receives a call stating there is a credit on their utility account and they need your debit card/bank account information in order to issue a refund.

If you receive such a call, IT IS A SCAM! DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL BANKING INFORMATION!

You can always check the status of your account through the My Account feature of our website (www.hsvutil.org) or by calling the Customer Information Center at 256-535-1200.

If you think you have been the victim of a scam, call your financial institution immediately, as well as local law enforcement.
