Traffic Alert for Capshaw Road (Updated April 28, 2022)

UPDATE - APRIL 28, 2022
Huntsville Utilities Electric Operations will close Capshaw Road again next week to continue work installing new utility poles and distribution circuits for a new electric substation in the area.

The closure will begin at 9am and last until 2pm each weekday of next week (Monday through Friday). 

Motorists are asked to avoid this area if possible.  Motorists traveling through this area are asked to do so with extreme caution as workers will be present. 

If possible, travelers are advised to plan alternate routes to minimize any inconvenience.  If alternate routes are not available, be prepared for shifting traffic patterns and possible delays.

ROAD CLOSURE – CAPSHAW ROAD
Huntsville Utilities Electric Operations will close Capshaw Road between Wall Triana Highway and Balch Road for five hours each day on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week (April 26, 27, and 28).

The closure will allow crews to install new utility poles and distribution circuits to the new Capshaw Road electric substation. 

The road will close at 9am each morning and reopen at 2pm each afternoon.   

Motorists are asked to avoid this area if possible.  Motorists traveling through this area are asked to do so with extreme caution as workers will be present.
