Severe Weather Threat for Thursday (February 17, 2022)

The National Weather Service in Huntsville, Alabama is forecasting a threat of severe weather for Thursday, February 17, 2022.

The timing of the weather system is Thursday afternoon and evening, with the primary threats being damaging winds and heavy rain.  While tornadoes cannot be ruled out, the chance of one occurring is low.

A wind advisory is expected to be issued for Wednesday night and Thursday, with sustained winds of 20-25 mph and gusts up to 35-45 mph.
