Huntsville Utilities Wins Award For Most Creative Social Media Campaign!

The Huntsville Utilities Public Relations Department has been honored with an award by E Source, a utility consulting firm which provides various services to more than 500 utilities in North America.

The award was for Most Creative Social Media Campaign and was given to Huntsville Utilities for "HUTV: Huntsville Utilities Television."

HUTV is a web-based show co-produced and co-hosted by Todd Long and Amanda Kemp (seen below with Jessica Baillis, Solution Director for ESource).

ESource honors the best is utility marketing and advertising each year with their ESource Utility Ad Awards Contest.  After reviewing more than 1,000 entries from across the United States and Canada, Huntsville Utilities was chosen to receive the award for their approach of "serious information sandwiched between silliness."  

Each episode (approximately seven minutes long) discusses information that can help Huntsville Utilities customers make their homes more energy efficient, understand their utilities better, and more.  There are also regular features like "The Week In Utilities," "Viewer Mail," and "From the Bowels of YouTube."  

Episodes typically drop on the Huntsville Utilities social media pages each Wednesday morning, and previous episodes can be seen on the company's YouTube channel.
