Weather Alert for Wednesday (April 10, 2024)

Almost all of the Huntsville Utilities service area is under a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) risk for severe weather. The primary threat is gusty to damaging winds, although a tornado can not be ruled out.

The timing window for our area is 4pm to 7pm.

This type of weather system brings a risk of limbs, trees, and debris blowing into and bringing down power lines. If you see a downed or obstructed line, do not approach it or drive over it and do not attempt to clear the line. Report it to us immediately at 256-53-LIGHT (256-535-4448). This is also the number for reporting a power outage.

We are closely monitoring the weather situation and have crews ready to respond to any service issues.
