Important Update Regarding Operations On Thursday (January 18, 2024)

Huntsville Utilities continues to monitor all systems during the current weather situation. All crews remain on call and are responding to service issues caused by high demand due to very cold temperatures across the Tennessee Valley.  The National Weather Service in Huntsville is forecasting another round of dangerously cold weather, along with the potential for a wintry mix of precipitation that could exacerbate hazardous travel conditions.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Huntsville Utilities main lobby (112 Spragins Street) and the Pulaski Pike Drive-Thru Payment Center (1100 Pulaski Pike) will remain closed on Thursday, January 18, due to continued hazardous road conditions.

Customers needing to conduct business with Huntsville Utilities can do so via the website (www.hsvutil.org), or by phone (256-535-1200). The self-service kiosks will also be available, but customers are asked to avoid traveling on the roads if possible.

Huntsville Utilities will not interrupt service for non-payment until temperatures moderate.  We also realize that the suspension of local mail service means some customers will not receive their bills in a timely manner. While the details are still being discussed, customers affected will not be charged fees for late payment.

To report a power outage or other service interruption, call 256-53-LIGHT (256-535-4448).

Customers are advised to monitor local media and the National Weather Service (weather.gov/hun) for updates on the upcoming winter weather forecast.
