Here is the latest from US National Weather Service Huntsville Alabama regarding the severe weather threat for tomorrow:

The Huntsville Utilities service area is under a slight risk (level 2 of 5) for severe weather on Friday. The greatest threat with this system is damaging wind gusts of up to 75 mph.

The timing window for our area is 8am to 2pm.

This type of system brings an increased risk of limbs, trees, and debris blowing into and bringing down power lines. If you see a downed line, do not approach it or attempt to drive over it. Call us immediately at 256-53-LIGHT (256-535-4448). This is also the number to call to report a power outage.

We are closely monitoring the weather situation and crews are standing by to respond. Customers are advised to monitor local media and the National Weather Service website (weather.gov/hun) for updates on this developing situation.
