Huntsville Utilities Water Rates Compared To Inflation

As a publicly owned, not for profit utility, Huntsville Utilities closely monitors economic developments and how they impact costs because we operate on a cost-to-serve basis.

This chart demonstrates that we have successfully kept water rates considerably lower than the rate of inflation for decades. If the proposed rates are adopted, Huntsville Utilities water rates will remain among the lowest in the nation and much lower than the national average.

This rate modification will help ensure a safe, reliable, and clean source of water for our community at the best possible value.
