⛈ SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR WEDNESDAY - AUG 9 ⛈

The US National Weather Service Huntsville Alabama has placed the Huntsville Utilities service area under an enhanced risk for severe weather today.

The main threats are damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall, and the current projected timing is between 3pm and 6pm.

If you see a downed power line, do not approach it or attempt to drive over it. Report it to 256-53-LIGHT (256-535-4448). This is also the number for reporting a power outage. If you cannot get through on the first attempt, wait a few minutes and try again.
