WEATHER UPDATE
Here is the latest from US National Weather Service Huntsville Alabama regarding today's severe weather threat.
The biggest change is the timing of the storms for the Huntsville Utilities service area has been pushed to 11am - 1pm.
We are currently under a high wind warning until 6pm and a tornado watch until 1pm.
The main threats with the storm system are damaging winds and tornadoes, though hail and flooding cannot be ruled out.
We are standing by to respond to any service issues. To report a downed line or power outage, call 256-53-LIGHT (256-535-4448). If you see a downed power line, do not approach it.
This is a developing situation and customers are advised to monitor local media and the National Weather Service website (weather.gov/hun) for updates.
