Intermittent Road Closure - Memorial Parkway

NEWS RELEASE – HUNTSVILLE UTILITIES

INTERMITTENT ROAD CLOSURE – MEMORIAL PARKWAY

Thursday – September 15, 2022 – 8:30am

On Sunday, September 18, 2022, beginning at 5:00am, Huntsville Utilities Electric Operations will intermittently close all lanes of Memorial Parkway at Mastin Lake Road.

Each closure should last approximately 20 minutes. During this time, crews will be pulling new power line across the Parkway in preparation for overpass construction.

The closures will end at 8:00am.

Motorists are asked to avoid this area if possible. Motorists traveling through this area are asked to do so with extreme caution as workers will be present.

If possible, travelers are advised to plan alternate routes to minimize any inconvenience. If alternate routes are not available, be prepared for shifting traffic patterns and possible delays.
